News, April 2010

You may notice our logo is a little different, not very, but, no shit, we were threatened with legal action by the Red Cross for using, well, a red cross. Apparently is contravenes the Geneva Convention; we need to let opposing forces know that we are, in fact, a viable target, I guess. So now there's a black one. You'll get used to it.
And yes, ok, we dropped the ball. There was no newsletter for March. But you'll forgive us when you see the plethora of news for April. Everyone is in overdrive, we've got a new addition to the family and there's some ace shows on the horizon to keep your dancing shoes worn in, including Plus One's appearance at the Label Parties series of free shows.

It'll be July 24, in the Brunswick Street Mall, Fortitude Valley, and will be kicking off at around 7pm. Giants of Science, Blackwater Fever, Black Mustang and returning for a special one off are our old pals Intercooler, it'll be an evening of rock and roll for the masses.

The Gin Club's new album Deathwish is looming on the horizon. Pre-orders are now available at the Plus One store, as well as copies of the Rain 7”. Also, Blackwater Fever have booked themselves into Brisbane's Troubadour for a month long residency, which means you can see them every Saturday night of May, from 1am.

Keep an ear out on 4ZZZ radio for live to air spots from Texas Tea, Roz Pappalardo and our new pals Halfway on April 11 and 18. If you're not in Brisbane you can listen online here.

Yep, Deathwish is looming, with a release date of May 29. If you do make a pre-order you will go into the draw to win a massive Gin Club pack, which includes the whole back catalogue, including limited releases, and a whole bunch more. Pre-orders are a mere $25 including postage, you know you want it.
