So we're rounding out the financial year now, and there's a bumper crop of Plus One goodness to spend your tax returns on! New releases, heaps of shows; let get underway.

The new Gin Club record is out in stores, Halfway's album is knocking on the door, and the Smokestack Orchestra's new ordnance is being loaded into the breech as we speak. Work is coming together on Blackwater Fever's In Stereo too! You can grab the Gin Club and Halfway albums from the Plus One store. You can also hear all our new releases on the site now!

The Label Parties show is coming up, on July 24 in Brisbane's Brunswick Street Mall, kicking off at 7pm. Bring the kids! An excellent way to check out a big slice of Plus One action in one fell swoop. Texas Tea and Halfway are also going to be at the Sounds Like Brisbane show, where a whole bunch of this city's best labels will be showing off their wares.

The SOUNDS LIKE BRISBANE launch show is in the Brisbane CBD this Friday 18th of June. The stages are in Burnett Lane and Island Court (off Elizabeth Street), and bands kick off at 5:30, with both Plus One bands on the Island Court stage, but there's also a bunch of other great things to see, like Butcher Birds, Blowhard, The Optimen and heaps more.

THE GIN CLUB

Deathwish is here! You can get it at all decent (and probably a couple of indecent) record stores, and go about requesting tracks on the radio.

The launch tour is incoming, hitting Melbourne, Sydney and a trilogy of shows in Brisbane. Tickets are strictly limited for Brisbane (actually limited, not just a byline to shift tickets) to keep each night nice and exclusive.

Halfway's An Outpost of Promise is here too! Produced by Brisbane  music icon Robert Forster,  The album will also be released in a limited edition run of 300 copies in meaty 180 gram 12" vinyl, also available at Plus One online. Their launches will be with fancy lad Dan Brodie.

THE SMOKESTACK ORCHESTRA

The Smokestack Orchestra's second album EMD-12 is finished mixing, and will be mastered by dab hand William Bowden.

Their launch show will be with Sydney buddies Gay Paris, but before then they're heading off with Western Australians The Devil Rides Out. They'll hopefully be heading south with Gay Paris come October.
