Rattlehand ALBUM TOUR 2012

In the two short months since its release, americana rock outfit Rattlehand’s debut album has been garnering praise all over the globe with critical acclaim from The Netherlands, the UK and the US. The first single from the album, “Leavin’” has been added to high rotation on over 40 commercial and community radio stations around the country and the band look set to make a big mark on the contemporary americana/alt-country scene.

In 2011 the band established themselves as serious players in the field, performing live with Justin Townes Earle, Wagons and Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band and playing to sold out crowds at Tamworth, Woodford and Apollo Bay festivals.

The joviality and contagiousness of their music is at the core of their success, and anyone who loves a good blues or rock beat will get as much from Rattlehand’s new album as the most hardened alt-country fan.

Acclaimed in particular for their tight, vibrant and entertaining live shows Rattlehand are not to be missed on their East Coast Album Tour. All dates and venues are listed below.

Consume has once again collaborated with the Gallery of Modern Art in Brisbane to co-curate the MATISSE UP LATE program that commences on JAN 20 with Eleanor Friedberger from the Fiery Furnaces and concludes with the drifting sounds of Bonnie ‘Prince” Billy on MAR 2.

In what feels like a great program to accompany the drawn life of Henri Matisse… each Friday will see a performance from the artists listed below along with DJ Archie Jacobson providing some extra jazz, plus artist talks, films and drawing… see further details below.

Join us for a special Christmas send off when we celebrate the final Live Spark of 2011. A selection of artists from the Livespark 2011 season will return to perform Christmas favourites from The Pogues, Paul Kelly, Wham, Bruce Springsteen, Bing Cosby and more.

Artists include: Our Ithaca Creek, Lion Island, Roz Pappalardo, Anthony Dettori, Rattlehand, Dagwood Stevens, Alan boyle, Swaying Buildings, Chanel Lucas, Bang Bang Boss Kelly, Mexico City & Crystal Radios.
